Our Programs

Developing Future-Ready Skills

The world young people are preparing to enter is changing rapidly. Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming how we learn, communicate, solve problems, and work.

LeCEF complements formal education by helping young people develop the practical, human, and technological capabilities they will need to succeed in this changing environment.

Our programs are organized around six interconnected areas of development.

01

English & Professional Communication

Turning Language Skills into Real-World Communication

Strong English-language education is widely available in Lebanon, but academic proficiency does not always translate into confidence in professional and real-world settings.

LeCEF helps students strengthen the practical communication skills needed for higher education and the workplace, including professional writing, presentations, public speaking, interviewing, interpersonal communication, and the ability to explain ideas clearly and persuasively. Students also learn to use AI tools to improve their communication while maintaining their own voice, judgment, and originality.

Students develop: professional English • writing • presentations • public speaking • interviewing • persuasion • interpersonal communication

02

Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving

Learning How to Think, Not Simply What to Think

As information becomes instantly accessible through AI and digital technology, knowing facts alone is no longer enough. Young people increasingly need the ability to determine what information is reliable, understand complex problems, and decide what to do with the information available to them.

LeCEF challenges students to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, consider different perspectives, identify problems, compare alternatives, and develop well-reasoned solutions. Students also learn to evaluate AI-generated information rather than accepting it automatically—strengthening independent thinking and sound judgment.

Students develop: analytical thinking • problem-solving • reasoning • decision-making • judgment • information evaluation • intellectual curiosity

03

Digital, Media & AI Literacy

Using Technology Intelligently and Responsibly

Artificial intelligence is quickly becoming part of education, work, and everyday life. Young people need to understand not only how to use these technologies, but when to trust them, when to question them, and how to use them responsibly.

LeCEF introduces students to practical uses of AI and digital tools for research, learning, communication, creativity, and productivity. Students learn about AI-generated information, misinformation, bias, source verification, digital privacy, responsible AI use, and the importance of maintaining independent thought and creativity in a technology-driven world.

Students develop: AI literacy • digital literacy • media literacy • responsible AI use • research skills • source evaluation • digital citizenship

04

Leadership, Teamwork & Personal Development

Building the Human Skills Technology Cannot Replace

Technology can process information, but people still need to lead, collaborate, build relationships, resolve disagreements, take responsibility, and inspire others.

LeCEF helps students develop confidence, initiative, accountability, teamwork, leadership, adaptability, and interpersonal skills through collaborative activities and practical challenges. Students learn that leadership is not simply holding a title. It begins with taking responsibility, listening to others, contributing to a team, making decisions, and following through on commitments.

Students develop: leadership • teamwork • confidence • initiative • accountability • adaptability • negotiation • conflict resolution

05

Career Exploration & Readiness

Connecting Talent with Opportunity

LeCEF helps young people better understand their individual strengths, interests, and abilities and how they can connect with educational and career opportunities in Lebanon, the region, and the global economy.

Students gain greater awareness of emerging fields, evolving workforce needs, and how artificial intelligence is reshaping careers and the skills employers value.

LeCEF encourages young people to make informed choices about their education and future careers—connecting personal talent and ambition with meaningful opportunities for professional growth and contribution to Lebanon’s future.

Students develop: self-awareness • career exploration • career planning • professional readiness • understanding of emerging opportunities

06

Cultural & Global Understanding

Preparing Young People to Engage with the World

LeCEF helps young people develop the cultural awareness, global perspective, and cross-cultural communication skills needed to succeed in an increasingly connected world.

Through educational and cultural exchange, students gain exposure to different perspectives, ideas, educational environments, and professional cultures. LeCEF seeks to create meaningful connections with American universities, educators, professionals, and young people that broaden students’ understanding of the world while strengthening their ability to communicate and collaborate across cultures.

At the same time, students are encouraged to understand and confidently share Lebanon’s own culture, values, and perspectives—making cultural exchange a genuine two-way experience.

Students develop: cross-cultural communication • global awareness • cultural confidence • curiosity • collaboration • international perspective

Building Skills. Expanding Opportunity. Preparing for the Future.

LeCEF programs are designed to help young people build the knowledge, confidence, and practical abilities they need to move forward.

Through education, mentorship, skills development, and meaningful partnerships, we create pathways that connect potential with opportunity.
