Who We Are
The Learning & Cultural Exchange Foundation (LeCEF) is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to helping young people in Lebanon develop the skills, confidence, and global perspective they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
Building on Lebanon's strong educational tradition, LeCEF complements formal education with practical, future-ready learning in communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, career readiness, cultural understanding, and digital and AI literacy.
Our Approach
We believe education must evolve as the world around us changes.
LeCEF emphasizes active, experiential learning that encourages students to think independently, communicate confidently, collaborate with others, solve real problems, and use emerging technologies thoughtfully and responsibly. A central part of our approach is building relationships with American universities, educational institutions, and experts to bring additional knowledge, experience, and educational opportunities to young people in Lebanon.
A Word From the Founder
I have been fortunate to build a career that began in engineering and product development and grew into leadership roles in innovation, strategy, marketing, and business management in both the United States and the Middle East.
Along the way, I learned something that has stayed with me: education opens doors, but education alone is not always enough.
Young people also need the confidence to communicate, the ability to think critically and solve problems, the judgment to make good decisions, and the adaptability to keep learning as the world around them changes.
Today, artificial intelligence is accelerating that change. The skills young people will need for university, work, and life are evolving quickly. I believe we have a responsibility to help prepare them—not simply to compete with technology, but to use it thoughtfully and confidently while developing the human capabilities that will continue to set them apart.
As a Lebanese-American, I created LeCEF to bring together the experience, knowledge, educational resources, and relationships available in the United States and elsewhere with the extraordinary potential of young people in Lebanon.
My hope is simple: to help more young people turn their education and talent into opportunity.
